Industrial special-purpuse waterproof videoendoscope Piton-GD

Flexible videoendoscope Piton-GD is designed to provide ease of handling, long-term battery operation, real-time wireless image transfer and high quality inspection.

The endoscope is germetically sealed and can be desactivated by washing with detergents. The endoscope is made of resistant to chemicals materials — the bodyframe is made of stainless steel with teflon (fluoroplastic) insertion tube. Flexible insertion tube is only 15 mm in diameter and up to 30 m long.

Endoscope Piton-GD includes:
– unit designed to transmit video signal from camera unit mounted on flexible insertion tube (hereinafter referred to as «transmitting unit»);
– unit designed to receive and recorder video signal (hereinafter referred to as «receiving unit»).

Videoendoscope Piton-GD is designed for efficient visual inspection  of technological equipment of:
 — radiochemical and chemical plants,
 — nuclear power stations,
 — radioactive waste repositories,
 — nuclear-fuel reprocessing plant.

Videoendoscope Piton-GD is also designed for remote visual inspection of technical equipment:
– extended cylindrical objects like pipe-lines, high-pressure vessels, headers etc. up to 30 m long;
– containers, reservoirs, mechanisms and units hidden from direct view.

The following actions could be performed using endoscope Piton-GD:
– visual inspection with real-time video on the display;
– video recording and further viewing and examination of possible defects;
– uploading recorded video files to computer for further processing and archiving;
– external TV-set or video-recorder connection to the receiving unit;
– external TV-set or projector connection to the portable video player.

Transmitting unit consists of a stainless steel barrel mounted on firm stainless steel frame. Flexible insertion tube can be easily wound off through guide arm. In the center of the barrel battery module is situated.

On the control panel the following elements are placed: power indicator, lighter regulator, battery discharge indicator, charger socket, power switch and six studs to prevent insertion tube from deformation.

Insertion tube is flexible and ends with distal end and camera unit. Distal end articulation is manually adjustable. In case of radial inspection one should bend distal end before work and rotate insertion tube during inspection.

Receiving unit is mounted in the shock-resistant plastic case. On the control panel of receiving unit the following elements are placed: battery module, video player, video player case, video player charger, composite video out connector, charger XLR socket, power button, power indicator and battery discharge indicator.

Features

Stainless videocamera unit only 15 mm in diameter. Videocamera unit includes color miniature videocamera and high bright lighter.

Adjustable focus. The focus is manually adjustable by rotating the camera unit head.

High intensity lighter. 8 super-bright LEDs installed into videocamera unit provide wide range of lighting.

High resolution of images and videos. Resolution of video endoscope is higher than resolution of fiber-optical endoscopes and is limited by physical resolution of video cameras (about 380 TVL) and recording device (640×480px).

Wireless data transfer. The receiving and transmitting units are not connected with wires and can be placed up to 7 m from each other during inspection. The video signal from videocamera transfer wirelessly to the display of the receiving unit. The videosignal also can be transferred via cable enclosed.

Long-time duration of autonomous work. For power supply lead-acid accumulator batteries are used. Batteries are hermetically sealed and made on technology with the gel electrolyte. One battery is mounted inside the transmitting unit and another — inside the receiving unit. Two units are extra enclosed. For charging ANSMANN ALCS 2-24A charger is used. Charger provides overcharging protection, trickle charge and protection against short-circuit and reverse-connect.

Special centralyzer for cylindrical objects. For internal inspection of cylindrical objects like pipes special mechanical equipment is used. It consists of centrator, spacers and extender sections. Centrator is used for axial positioning of the insertion tube inside the cylindrical object. Three bundles of spacers have different length and make it possible to centralize the insertion tube inside pipes with diameter from 100 to 300 mm and more.

Environmental specifications. The videoendoscope is designed to run continuously in the temperature range of 0°C — 40°C and relative humidity up to 80%.
